Subject: Re: Purple Artifact Issue - Post Process Materials
Hello,
Thank you for your prompt response, I really appreciate it.
I followed your suggestion, and it seems that the issue arises from a combination of the 2nd and 3rd post-process materials. Interestingly, this artifact doesn't always appear consistently—it seems to occur intermittently and disappears on its own at times.
Additionally, I suspect the issue might be related to floating point precision errors in the post-processing effects. I’ve noticed that it tends to occur when the project becomes heavier and more complex, though this is just a guess.
I hope this information helps in narrowing down the issue. Please let me know if you need any further details.
Hey, thank for getting in contact and thanks for bringing up this issue!
That looks very strange, I haven’t seen anything like this before! It is probably an issue with one of the post process effects. Could you please go to:
YourRealCamera -> Camera Component -> Post Process -> Rendering Features -> Post Process Materials -> Array
There you will see 3 Materials each with a slider set to 1.0.
Could you please set all of them to 0.0 and see if the problem still persists.
If its gone, could you set the Materials back to 1.0 one after the other and check which one causes the issue.
The name of the Material would help me a lot closing in on the issue.
Again thank you for your report!
Hey, thank you for your testing! So it looks to be connected to the lens un-sharpness. Does the artifacts disappear, if you disable Realcamera -> Cinematographer Features -> Lens Un-Sharpness enabled?
