Hello, been using this plugin for a while, I have to admit that it is a daily driver in my tool box, and easily in my top 3 favorite plugins, BUT -

As my cinematics have gotten more and more advanced, I have to use the sim in viewport feature to do a lot of work and when you hit that button it completely disables your plugin. I saw on the UE store that someone else had brought this up, and I'm here to confirm that this has been happening since day one of buying this product. As I'm sure you can imagine this is very detrimental to the process and if you need anything from a users end to replicate or give any info to fix this as soon as possible I'm more than willing to give you whatever info you need, but I'm pretty sure this is a solid bug that anyone can replicate without any issues.

Also, as far as 5.4 is concerned, I saw that you had submitted an update, is there a status on that situation? 5.4 as I'm sure you know is such a quality of life change for animators and sequencer users that I'm chomping at the bit to get in there asap but I refuse to leave this plugin behind in 5.3! Lol

Have a good day.

Deal!

Great to hear that it works for now.

If anyone else knows how to trigger that behavior, please let us now, we are eager to fix it!

Thank you for the reply, as I got into the studio today and read this I noticed that the update went through! I loaded up a project I had in 5.3 after installing the 5.4 plugin update to try to replicate this bug and screen record it for you and now I cant replicate it either, which is very bizarre, but I'm not gonna complain! If it happens again I'll stop what I'm doing and run through the project with OBS to see if there are any niche conditions in the project that would be triggering it.

Thanks again!

Hey, thank you for the positive feedback and thank you for taking the time to report the bug!

As stated in the Marketplace question, we are not able to reproduce the problem in Simulate.

I created a new scene, droped in a Cinematographer Camera, set the Viewport to the Cinematographer Camera and then started Simulate and the camera did not turn off while physics objects moved. Is this different for you or are you using Simulate differently? Please describe the steps you take to get the bug or maybe share a short video with a simple setup. I’m not doubting it is happening, we just need to be able to reproduce the bug to be able to fix it.

And concerning the 5.4 update we just answered a new question on the Marketplace about with the following:

We’ve been made aware of a small oversight in our commit to Epic four days ago. After immediately fixing and re-uploading it, we are still waiting for the approval from Epic. We know that everyone wants to test the new version and we know how important Cinematographer is for many developers, so we are truly sorry for the delay and hope for Epics release very soon since the upload is waiting for approval for several days now. Not much we can do to speed up the process but if does not go live today, we will get in contact with the Marketplace support.

Again we are truly sorry and hope the update will be live soon! Thank you for your patience!

Again thanks for getting in touch! We are very sorry for the 5.4 delay and I hope we will be able to fix the Simulate bug soon!
