21:9 cameras

Hello,

Could you please implement some 21:9 cameras? It's an increasingly popular format, and the correct cameras with the right sensor widths just make the workflow for getting to render that much easier - I render in 5k 21:9 32bit EXR's for generating 4k HDR videos via Movie Render Queue. Would be amazing to just drop in 21:9 cameras that work out of the box. It's an increasingly popular format for high quality vimeo videos with black bars.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5K_resolution - the 64∶27 aspect ratio (i.e. camera sensor) would be grand.

Thanks!

Hey, thank you for your input. While I can see, why you would prefer to have presets like that provided by us, we don’t think it would make sense, since everything made for Cinematographer is based on real life physics and technology and there are no mainstream cameras that use a 21:9 Sensor Aspect Ratio. So to include such cameras, we would have to create made up artificial ones.

But that’s where our preset systems comes in handy. Just copy a preset you like, enable Custom Aspect Ratio, set it to 21:9, compile it, save it and give it a new name. Now you can always use your customized preset. This works in both, the Lite and the PRO version of Cinematographer.

Hope that information helps!

Thanks! Okay I'll look into it. For reference, I found a few cameras with 21:9 image aspect ratio. It's not sensor aspect ratio, but what is output from the camera:

This one records in Anamorphic 65:24 https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/cameras-camcorders/lumix-mirrorless-cameras/lumix-s-full-frame-cameras/dc-s1.html
As does this - https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/cameras-camcorders/lumix-mirrorless-cameras/lumix-s-full-frame-cameras/dc-s5.html
