Cinematographer Feedback & Support

Welcome!

After enabling the plugin, it freezes on the Unreal startup screen.

In version UE5.4.2, after enabling the plugin, it gets stuck on the startup page displaying "Loading PreDefault module for plugin: PythonScriptPlugin...".

I have to uninstall the plugin to open UE normally. However, after reinstalling and enabling it, it gets stuck at the same place again.
What should I do?
Thank you!

Hey, thanks for getting in touch!

I’m very sorry to hear that you are having problem! Someone else also already mentioned the same problem. But since we are not using any python script in the plugin, didn’t change anything since the the 5.4 update and seeing the same error with other plugins in the Unreal forums, this seems to be a Unreal Engine bug. That means we can’t fix it from our end but have to wait for a fix from Epic. Maybe you can get in contact with the Epic support and ask them directly how to prevent this from happening. The only other solution would be to use an older Unreal Engine version until the problem is fixed. I’m sorry I can’t do more for you and hope they will fix it soon!
